The Shaggy Dog Stories are stories that all lead to a joke. Within in the stories it isn't hard to understand the joke, nor it is hard to gather information. The language of the stories aren't unusual or uncommon. The joke require for the reader to have prior knowledge of the subject of the joke. The stories all give some background information to assist the audience in understanding the pun. When I read the stories to myself in didn't find the joke funny, but reading them aloud assisted with the pun.

In researching the question "should researchers be required to reveal their sources?", I found a lot of information. On legalzoom, I found the whole legal process in which journalist and researcher have to undergo to keep their sources private. Furthermore on imediaethics.org it also explains how, why, or should researchers be required to reveal their sources. Furthermore, now that I have been certified and properly trained by NIH Program, I can ask students who have talked to newspapers or even wrote a review on ratemyprofessor, do they feel their named should have been revealed.
Also, I would like to research the television replacing quality time between parents and their toddler or adolescent children. The NYtimees newspaper conducted an article that says how much time is too much time watching television. I know from personal experience with a family member who's child watches television as soon as she comes home from school and immediately after homework is completed.

There are quite a few topics I am interested on working on, but I chose the following five to post.
- The television replacing quality time with parents and their toddler and adolescent children
- The text lingo disabling verbal speech
- The language used on "reality" television affecting the viewer's everyday speech
- Should researcher be required to reveal their sources?
- Is there a difference in the news reported on television and print news?
